  • YOLiE provides a 21st century approach to receiving professional development. YOLiE is a 24/7 "PJPD" system that is available from any Internet connection. Courses are designed to meet the needs of busy teachers and administrators by allowing them to access the course content when and where it's most efficient to do so.

Our courses are developed and facilitated by curriculum experts in the specific fields being taught. Because a human will be reviewing work, grades will not appear automatically but you will always have someone to ask when you need help.

After reading this message, you can login to enter the system. Use your YISD ID (your Citrix login) and the district-assigned password (your Citrix password) to login at the upper right.

Look in the Course Categories window to the left. There you will find the areas of content including the GT courses, courses from Instructional Technology and other specialized resources. Click a category to see the courses available in that category. Some courses may be restricted.

If you have difficulties with the system, please call Shelley Smallwood (434-0689) or Carol Mortensen (434-0685) or you can attend training with the Instructional Technology staff. For training contact Cleo Flores (434-0680)

Broken spellings?
by IT Trainer - Tuesday, 17 October 2006, 04:46 PM
We occasionally hear comments about the "misspellings" on the Moodle site. Please bear in mind that Moodle is primarily developed in Australia, which uses some different spellings of words than we do here in the US. Like the British use an "extra" U in "colour," the Aussies spell "enrollment" without that "extra" L.

It's a big, bright world out there and not all of us do things the same way!
CTC Portal created!
by IT Trainer - Monday, 24 April 2006, 04:24 PM
Welcome to Moodle! The Campus Technology Contacts now have a Moodle sandbox to play in! This area is a forum designed to allow CTCs to virtually congregate, ask questions, find answers and share their experience and knowledge with their colleagues district-wide.

To access the forum, log into the system with your YISD ID and password.

YOLiE is on the move!
by Ron Livermore - Friday, 4 November 2005, 10:49 AM

YOLiE is undergoing a major transformation by migrating it's services to the new and improved Moodle.  Moodle is a course management system (CMS) - a free, Open Source software package designed using sound pedagogical principles, to help educators create effective online learning communities. You can download and use it on any computer you have handy (including webhosts), yet it can scale from a single-teacher site to a 40,000-student University.
